Kozy Kandles

About Us

Emily here! I am the owner and creator of Kozy Kandles. We are a small woman owned business located in downtown New Albany, Indiana. We pour all of our candles by hand in small batches intentionally and ethically. I started making candles in the summer of 2016 and established Kozy Kandles that fall. People always ask how I started making candles and quite honestly, it was a product I used religiously and I loved how they made a space feel so I decided to make my own.

The creative process gave me a sense of joy and sparked passion in me. The "K's" are in honor of my Mawmaw, Kay Gray, who passed away October 12th, 2016.

I decided to start making my own while I was a student-athlete at IUS primarily as an enjoyable and therapeutic hobby, and then to social media I took them and began doing pop-up markets to connect and share with the community.


Looking back, it is crazy the amount of growth Kozy Kandles has made, which wouldn't be possible without this amazing community that has endlessly supported my dream and brand. Kozy Kandles are handcrafted eco-luxe soy candles made with natural soy wax and cotton wicks with a blend of fragrance & essential oils that are phthalate free, toxin free and carcinogen free. Soy candles have a cleaner + longer burn than leading paraffin based candles. They are safer for the environment, your family and health, while also supporting domestic farmers.

While soy candles are special in themselves, Kozy Kandles offer more than just fine fragrance. They are inspired and curated to evoke the coziest and warmest of feelings. We aspire to fill your home with more than a fragrance, but an aroma that celebrates warmth, invites cozy, and creates memories. Feelings and moments are wrapped up in our candles and lived in your home + heart.
